Day : 04 Bhubaneshwar

AM:- After breakfast leave for full day excursionto Khandagiri and Udayagiri (8 kilometers drive) where you can seevarieties of rock-cut caves, built mainly for the Jain monks around 1st to2nd century BC. The old written records found engraved in Hatigumpha (elephant cave) is a magnificent specimen of Pali records in India so far. Cactus Garden situated close to the ‘Ekamara Kanan’ is a huge collection of Cacti that should not be missed.

PM:- Back to hotel and stay overnight.


Day : 05 Bhubaneshwar - Puri (60 kilometers; 1 and ½ hour drive)

AM:- After breakfast proceed to Puri. Here youwill have opportunity for sightseeing including Lord Jaganath Puri Templeand Loknath Temple.

PM:- Overnight stay at hotel in Puri.


Day : 06 Puri - Konark (35 kilometers; 1 hour drive)

Kerala Itinerary - Nature Walk

Day : 01 Arrive Cochin

Kerala Itinerary - Nature WalkAM:- After breakfast leave for full day visit including 400-years old Jewish Synagogue, said to be oldest in South-Asian sub-continent; St. Francis Church- first European church in India and Dutch Palace- where one can find hand painted Chinese tiles and Belgian Chandeliers interior that gives exquisite look. Besides these Cochin offers attraction such as visit to islands- Bolgatty, Gunda and Willingdon; museums- Kerala History Museum, Hill Palace Museum, Parishath Taamburan Museum; Chinese Fishing Nets and Santacruz Cathedral (Basilica). All these visits depend on prime interest and time as well.

PM:- Enjoy Kathakali dance performance (an Indian dance form) that gives you a taste of the traditions and folk art of Kerala; stay overnight at hotel.


Day : 03 Cochin - Munnar (136 kilometers; 3 hours drive)
AM:- After breakfast proceed to Munnar- the scenic green place around the hills; check in hotel and have refreshment.

PM:- Nature walk around the tea, cardamom and other spice plantations; stay overnight at hotel in Munnar.


Day : 04 Munnar
AM:- After breakfast leave for full day visit. Obviously visit places like: Christ Church- small, cozy and charming church with wonderful stained glass panels; Mount Carmel- oldest Roman Catholic Church in the region; Mattupetty Lake and dam (13 kilometres away)- surrounded by hills and forest where one can hire a boat for ride or walk down to nearby dairy and cattle farms; Top Station (41 kilometres, at 2200 meters height)- that has some of highest tea plantations in India; Eravikulam Park (16 kilometres)- where one can find endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex).

PM:- Back to hotel and stay overnight.


Day : 05 Munnar - Thekkady (100 kilometers; 3 hours drive)
AM:- After breakfast proceed to Thekkady; check in hotel and have refreshment.

PM:- Nature walk at nearby green forest areas; stay overnight at hotel.


Day : 06 Thekkady
AM:- After breakfast leave for full day visit to Periyar Tiger Reserve; a boat ride in Periyar Lake will definitely enhance your journey with an exotic view of wildlife in its natural habitat.

PM:- Back to hotel and stay overnight.


Day : 07 Thekkady - Kumarakom (140 kilometers; 3-4 hours drive)
AM:- After breakfast proceed to Kumarakom; embark on houseboat and relax.

PM:- Overnight stay at houseboat.


Day : 08 Kumarakom - Alleppey (houseboat cruise; 4 hours maximum)
AM:- After breakfast cruise in the Kumarakom Lake from Kumarakom to Alleppey through narrow canals adjoining the wide lake; enjoy natural beauty in the surroundings. Meals are served on board so one can have lunch middle of the day.Alleppey- situated in south of Cochin, is the center for backwater cruises in Kerala. It has a large network of canals, which passes through the town, provides its lifeline and has a long sandy beach. It is also the center of famous coir products of Kerala. Nehru Trophy Boat Race- the most colourful snake-boat race in Kerala, which is held here on the 2nd Saturday of August every year.

PM:- Overnight stay at houseboat in Alleppey.


Day : 09 Alleppey - Trivandrum (159 kilometers; 4 hours drive)

The city gets its name from the word “Thiru Ananthapuram” meaning the city of Ananth or the abode of the sacred serpent Anantha, on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity, reclines.

PM:- Stay overnight at hotel in Trivandrum.


Day : 10 Trivandrum - Kovalam - Trivandrum
AM:- After breakfast leave for day excursion to Kovalam beach; opportunity for sunbath. Also visit famous Padmanabhaswami temple.Kovalam lies on the Malabar Coast along the Kerala shoreline, which is just 16 kilometers ahead of Trivandrum. A sheltered natural bay endowed with unusual beauty has safe sea-pool free from high waves and surge. As the name “Kovalam” meaning a grove of coconut trees, here one can find abundant coconut trees along the beaches that gives a feel like paradise of nature.

PM:- Back to hotel and overnight stay.


Day : 03 Trivandrum - Kollam (72 kilometers; 1 and ½ hour drive)
AM:- After breakfast proceed to Kollam.Kollam, the gateway to Kerala’s beautiful backwater is blessed with plenty of unique features like- sea, lakes, plains, mountains, rivers, streams, backwaters, lush green fields and tropical crop of every variety both food crop and cash crop, so called ‘The Gods Own Capital’Upon arrival check in hotel and have refreshment; later visit the places like: Thevalli Palace- renowned palace situated on the banks of Ashtamudi Kayal backwater; Thenmala Deer Park- that houses Thenmala Rocks which are about 5000 year old; Thangasseri- 5 Kilometers from Kollam that houses ruins of Portughese and Dutch structures; Thirumullavaram Beach- 6 kilometers north of Kollam, is a secluded beach beautiful for outing; Mayyand- 10 kilometers south of Kollam and noted for its shrines and temples, most importantly the Subramanya temple at Umayanallor.

Day : 04 Kollam - Alleppey (47 kilometers; 2 and ½ hours boat cruise)
AM:- After breakfast leave for a boat cruise from Kollam to Alleppey; a journey of few hours cruise amidst the lush green canals will surely bring you near to nature.

PM:- Overnight stay at houseboat in Alleppey.


Day : 05 Alleppey - Kumarakom (4 hours boat cruise in maximum)
AM:- After breakfast boat cruise to Kumarakom through Punnamada Lake; spend the day on boat and have meals onboard while enjoy viewing the lush green surroundings.

PM:- Upon reaching Kumarakom stay overnight in houseboatKumarakom is a unique backwater destination on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom bird sanctuary is home to migratory birds ideal for bird watching. It is also famous for the houseboat cruises.


Day : 06 Kumarakom - Cochin (80 kilometers; 1 and ½ hour drive)
AM:- After breakfast proceed to Cochin, the natural harbour city; check in hotel and relax.

PM:- Walk near the beach side of Cochin; later enjoy seeing Kathakali dance performance (a classical Indian dance form) in the hotel and stay overnight.


Day : 07 Cochin
Kerala Itinerary - BackwatersAM:- After breakfast leave for full day visit including: Mattancherry Palace or Dutch Palace- worth to see the interiors here that are decorated with murals from the Ramayana and lively displays of royal costumes and palanquins (closed on Friday); Jewish Synagogue or Mattancherry Synagogue- the copper plates in which grants of privilege made by Cochin rulers were recorded and similarly the exquisite Chinese hand-painted tiles, are of great interest (closed on Sunday); Sant Cruz Baslica Church at Fort Kochi- this Roman Catholic Church is worth to visit for beautiful paintings; Chinese Fishing Nets at Fort Kochi- lying in the sea-front these are said to be brought by traders of Kubalai Khan’s Court from China and are effective for fishing at high tide.
